Although Denver is known for its cold nights and great skiing, it actually has mild weather year round. The weather is known to change daily, but you can expect its snowy season to last from October to April. During this time, the weather ranges from 20-50 degrees Fahrenheit. Thanks to the cool summer months, exploring the great outdoors has never been better.
When to Visit
If you want to hit the slopes, Denver gets the most snowfall in March so try to book a trip around then to guarantee good skiing conditions. If you’re not into skiing or crowds, April to May is less crowded and still has warm weather. You can also escape most of the tourist season between September and October and receive cheaper hotel prices.
Transportation
The Regional Transportation District, also known as RTD, is a great option for getting around Denver affordably. You’ll need exact change to buy your fare since the drivers don’t keep any change on them, so be prepared when your bus or train arrives. If you don’t want to utilize the public transportation system, you can rent bikes or a car to get around the city as well.
