Los Angeles has a Mediterranean climate with nearly no rain in summer. In August, the average high temperatures are 84°F and lows of 65°F. Make sure to pack sunscreen as cloud cover can be scarce. Winters are mild, so no need to pack heavy outer wear.
When to Visit
You can visit Los Angeles year round and it's almost guaranteed you'll have a nice sunny day. Visit in the summer to experience local events. The cities outside of LA like Santa Monica and Venice also offer fun times. Add them to your LA itinerary for a fab getaway.
Transportation
LA is well known for it's infamous traffic jams. So we suggest opting no on the car rental and plan to stay close to your attractions and must sees. Take a bus or shuttle from the airport to downtown LA for a small fee. Then on your day to day excursions hop on the METRO to get around. LYFT and Uber are available as well.
