Skylark Field – ILE Killeen

Skylark Field with code ILE is located in Killeen, Texas. The city-owned public airport is located 6 km from Killeen which is part of Bell County. Killeen Municipal Airport is the former name of the facility. Currently, the airport doesn’t serve any scheduled passenger flights using a commercial airline. Back in 2003, the Atlantic Southeast Airlines served the airport but unfortunately, they transitioned to turboprop airplanes that require a longer runway. After a year, the city has relocated the remaining flights to Killeen Fort Hood Regional Airport which has a longer runway and a bigger terminal that can handle passengers.
