Southbroom: A Hidden Gem in South Africa
A coastal village in Ugu, Kwa Zulu-Natal province in South Africa, Southbroom lies in a tropical paradise where tourist may find themselves happily lost at. The name came from a Swedish Zulu Mission when they took over the mission of the Eyles family in 1908 (which was known to be the first ones to settle on the land), naming their home ‘Southbroom’ as reference to their home back in England. The youngest sons of the Eyles family proclaimed Southbroom, South Africa as a town in 1933. The nearest airport to book to get to see and feel the tranquility of the land is through the Margate Airport, which is also conveniently near the Days At Sea Beach Lodge, a top Southbroom, South Africa hotel.
Best Time to Visit
