Atour Hotels opened its very first hotel in August 2013 in Xian. Headed by CEO Haijun Wang, one of the former co-founders of the China Lodging Group spearhead the growth and expansion of the Atour Brand in China. He is also the brain behind the successful hotel chain Hanting Express and Home Inns.
Atour Hotels provides accommodations for tourists and locals in China and was founded in 2012. Built to provide accommodation services for recreational and business travelers, the company continuously expands in several strategic and major cities in China powered by its $30 million funding in 2015. The move lifted the company’s valuation to approximately US$161 million after the said expansion. Atour Hotels is also set to expand overseas through these funding.
Atour Hotels are located in major cities in China such as Nanjing, Shanghai, Tianjin, Chengdu, Xian, Suzhou and Beijing. In 2015, Atour Hotels has 40 properties under its belt with 80 more to be added to its current portfolio. It’s recent expansion aims to provide accommodations for the mid-range hotel and accommodation market, with the mission of creating a cultural lifestyle in its new business models. With the rise of economy hotel needs in the market, Atour Hotels is ready to keep up with the competition.
