Oasis Atlantico Hotels & Resorts was founded in 1998 in Cape Verde. Presently, it is headquartered in Lisbon. The Oasis Atlantico now has a total of six hotels—four in Cape Verde and two in North East Brazil. The group has always been successful in their operations, and their newest and biggest project to date is their expansion in Morocco. In July 2019, the group announced the opening of Oasis Saidia Palace and Oasis Blue Pearl in the new location. The group invested in five-star units, which costs around fifty to sixty million euros. This marks a huge milestone for the group in just less than 20 years in the business.
It is notable, however, that they have never operated in Portugal itself when their team is already based in there. Due to missed timings, Oasis couldn’t enter the Portuguese market even with the many years they’ve had. In 2008-2012, it was such a good opening to finally invest in Portuguese properties. However, that’s when the group was handling other projects and wasn’t really that available to further study and act on the opportunity. In the next 20 years though, the group foresees a good future for their international branches, as well as possibly multiple establishments in Portugal.
