The chain is under the management of Lion Sands, a company known for luxurious accommodations founded by More family in 1932. It was launched in May 2010 to include carefully selected boutique hotels and lodges in top tourist destinations in South Africa. It is now managed by More's fourth-generation led by Robert More.
