Travel Inn is a fruit of passion. It started with founder Ravi S. Kalra’s interest in traveling and adventures. In 1987, that enthusiasm prompted him to operate Trekking Tours in the Himalayan ranges of Kashmir, Ladakh and its neighboring areas. Before the establishment of this chain, Ravi was already working for a leading trekking company in Munich for six years. The group was leading adventure teams to Indian Sub-Continent. It was in 1990 when Ravi met his match in Gurmeet, an Economics and Sociology graduate who has a passion for travel and wildlife. With joined forces, they formed a group of travel professionals that make up Travel Inn.

In 1996, the team ventured into Wildlife Tourism as an additional to their tailor-made Culture Tours. In 1998, the team had further broadened their horizon with professional ornithologists and naturalists joining them. They made it possible for the group to arrange the best bird-watching activities and large mammals’ tours in every best spot for that in India. This culmination of everything that’s associated with nature allowed Travel Inn to bag the National Tourism. They were recognized three times by the awards group for being the best tour operator in the country.
