About Bauer Hotels Isola delle Rose
Bauer Hotels is one of the covetable five-star hotels in Venice, Italy. The operations of the company can be traced all the way back in 1880. A young man from Austria, Julius Grunwaldfell in love right in the City of Venice. It sounds cheesy and cliché but he truly did experience that right there and then for Mr. Bauer’s daughter. Mr. Bauer was already an established figure in the hospitality industry at that time, being the Director of Hotel de la Ville. Julius was eager to marry Mr. Bauer’s daughter that the young man asked the patriarch for his daughter’s hand as soon as he knew she was the one.
Mr. Bauer was pleased with the determination of the Austrian lad, and they soon built a business venture together. The in-laws opened the luxurious BAUER-Grunwald Hotel. Since this was way back in the 19th century, it took some effort to keep it as prestigious as it was the first public opening. In 1930, Mr. Bennati purchased the entire property and restored everything. He added a 7th floor terrace in the building, though. It was called Settiemo Cielo, which translates as seventh heaven in English. Fast forward to 2016, the Bauer Hotels has multiplied along with more restorations by famous architects and designers.
