About The Collector's Hotels Norsborg
The Collector’s Hotels, found in the heart of Old Town, Stockholm in Sweden, offers a unique experience to every traveler stepping on the premises. Founded in 1974 by Majlis and Gunnar Bengtsson, the structure was once a home that turned into a museum of marine antiques. Later on, the owners expanded the collection, erectingtwo other buildings that also served as hotels.
In each of the hotels, namely Victory, Lord Nelson, and Lady Hamilton, guests will be surrounded by an incredibly extensive collection of antiques. Currently, it is considered as the fifth biggest collection of maritime items in the world. Also, all three hotels vary in size and décor but share the same characteristic of fine service and relaxing atmosphere.
Lord Nelson is the lake admiral’s own place, holding the title of being Sweden’s narrowest hotel. The rooms here are named after ship models, with a figure of that specific boat inside the room. Also, Lord Nelson is the best alternative for over-priced lodges, which still provides comfort and pleasure to guests.
In 1980, Lady Hamilton opened and featured a more romantic decoration, with each room named after mountain flowers and come with feminine kits. The hotel has a sauna and relaxation area and organizes two meetings for afternoon tea. Victory Hotel, on the other hand, is a bit more lavish with larger rooms than the ones in the two other hotels. It is also home to restaurants and bars, as well as a part of the old city wall.
