Travdo Hotels & Resorts is a chain of three- and four-star hotels located in some of the most scenic rural places in Germany, but still within the primary tourist destinations.

The history of the hotel chain can be traced back in 2002 when the passion for hotels joined husband and wife NandoSonnenschmidt and Cecil Burkhardt in managing a small sized business. Nando at that time was the director of Center Hotel Kaiserhof (Naumburg / Saale) while Cecil was a receptionist. The two started Travell Service CeNaGbR which manages over 100 hotels in the short stay market on eBay, Riccardo, and OneTwoSold.

By 2004, Travdo has taken over the management of Center Hotels. It also opened sales centers in Austria and Switzerland to strengthen its presence. Its first hotel in its portfolio was Center Hotel Rossau which it acquired in 2006. Travdo today has grown to 21 hotels and is now managing its own distribution companies like kurz-mal-weg-in-den-urlaub.de and travdo.de. The company and its subsidiaries currently employ over 500 staff.

The latest addition to its portfolio is the GasthausZum Schwan Oschatz which it acquired in 2017. The 42-room hotel is 36 km away from Space museum and boasts of an outdoor swimming pool.
