G1 Group is one of the most diversified and largest hospitality organizations in Scotland. It has over 50 venues across the country. They are a series of boutique hotels and also a host of several entertainment venues like pubs, clubs, art nightclubs, bijoux cinemas, and even a casino. It’s also not just the range of establishments that has put this group at a reputable place in Scotland’s rankings over the past few years. They have well-curated architectures, nodding to the historical significance of existing buildings which they acquire for rejuvenation rather than mere commercialization. In 1990, their first venue was built, and it was Club X at the Royal Exchange Square, Glasgow. 5 years later, the now iconic Archaos “Super Club” was launched on Queen Street in Glasgow as well. A year before the 21st century, the group also launched their flagship venue on Ingram Street, Glasgow, The Corinthian Club.
2003 was a good year for the group as they opened The Grosvenor Complex in Ashton Lane in Glasgow. It was a cinema, restaurant, and a bar fused into one. In 2005, they established IONA Pub Partnership, their tenancy division. It was a success but they knew they wanted more scope in the business. In 2007, they launched The Palm Court Hotel in Aberdeen as a mark of their first foray into the hotel business. Until now, the group continues to use historical landmarks as home to their entertainment and hotel innovations.
