Founded in 1949, the Couples Resorts hotel chain is known as the very first resort in the Caribbean to use the ‘all inclusive’ concept. As of 2019, it operates four couples-only properties on Jamaica’s north coast. Founded by Abraham Issa, the brand’s first property was built in Ocho Rios. Initially named “Tower Isle”, the property was renamed twice and is now called Couples Tower Isles.
The four properties under the brand is marketed as being legendary. All of them feature unforgettable settings and activities made for couples to enjoy. The brand’s goal is to create the perfect romantic getaway for any couple that decides to stay with them. Their flagship property is Couples Tower Isle. The historic hotel has recently been refurbished and now features 226 rooms and suites. It also has 6 onsite restaurants and 5 bars as well as several swimming pools and Jacuzzis.
Other properties under the Couples Resorts brand include the Couples Sans Souci. The beachfront property also boasts of a gorgeous mountain backdrop and has its own mineral spring pool. The most intimate property in the line up is Couples Negril on the Jamaican West Coast. It offers 234 rooms to all its guests. Last on the list is Couples Swept Away, specifically marketed toward the more active set, this property is found along Jamaica’s famous Seven Mile Beach.
