Acapulco: The Resort City of Southwest Mexico
Framed by the mountains of Sierra Madre del Sur, Acapulco has three major tourist destinations: the Golden Zone which is high-rise arc of the bay, the Las Playas where Acapulco took its beginning, and the Punta Diamante the new emerging high-end paradise escape of the city. Best Time to Visit
For a pleasant sunny hot weather perfect to enjoy Acapulco’s golden sand beaches, visit this resort city between the months of April, May, October and November. But since these months are the busiest, making an early hotel reservation and advance airplane ticket booking is highly recommended. Tourists may also visit in December to partake to the annual Tropico Festival.

Tourists who are into history of Acapulco may head to Acapulco’s major historical monument at Fort San Diego and visit the Acapulco Historical Museum that detailed the city’s deep and colorful history.
