Andraitx: A Small Majorcan Town Waiting to be Explored
Located in the corner of Sierra de Tramontana, the most important mountain in Majorca, Andraitx is a small municipality in Mallorca in the coast of Spain. In 2004, the town has undergone a facelift to enhance its features as a tourist’s destination and to become the town’s main source of livelihood. Fishing and agriculture is also the means of income of the town and their primarily crops carob, citrus fruits, almonds and grapes that produced the famous wine “Santa Catarina”. Get into the city via plane and arrive at Palma Mallorca Airport (PMI) then drive 28 minutes to the port of Andraitx.
Best Time to Visit
Months from June to August is the best time to be in Andraitx for during these months when the weather pleasant with moderate temperature. Tourists planning to visit during these months should book their Andraitx hotel and plane ticket ahead of time for it is the busiest season in the town.
What to Do & Area Attractions
For some great nature trip, tourists may visit the Sa Dragonera Natural Park, a Balearic Inlet that is turned into a natural park. For a quiet beach experience head to the Calo d’en Mojo and enjoy a private swimming with plenty of trees for shades. Other interesting places to visit are the Pantaleu, Arte Casa Gallery and Sa Taronja.
