Anniston: A City of History
Once home to the world’s largest chair in 1982, Anniston, AL has deep historical roots and has made concerted efforts into preserving their surroundings. There was the Noble Streetscape project which encouraged the rehabilitation and restoration of building facades on Noble Street – recreating an early 1900s for its visitors. The city was the site of the Alabama Shakespeare Festival before it was moved to Montgomery.
