Aotea Centre in Auckland, New Zealand is an event and performing arts center offering an equipped cultural venue space. Its name was derived from “Motu Aotea,” a Maori term for Great Barrier Island. Inaugurated in 1990, it includes foyers, function rooms, and gallery spaces. It also features the Kiri Te Kanawa Theatre that can seat up to 2,139 people and Herald Theatre that can seat up to 186 people.
