Awara: Onsen City
Awara, Japan is situated at the northern Fukui prefecture. This is the home of famous onsen resorts, and natural hot springs. The main economy of the city comes from agriculture, and its tourism.
Best Time to Visit
Most tourists come to Awara to enjoy the onzen, or the hot springs. They usually arrive during spring season, from March to May. The summer season is from June to August, this season is not good to enjoy hot springs, but you can still visit temples and museums around the city. While, fall and winter are from September to February where snow starts to fall.

What's better than a vacation while dipping in a spring bath? Awara is the home of Awara Hot Spring, this hot spring is the most famous hot spring resort in Fukui Prefecture. With this nature's gem, a lot of hotels sprung around this spring. Hotel Yagi, is just 2-minute away from the spring, as well as 7-minute walk from the Awara-Yunomachi train station.
