Bartin: Boats by the Black Sea and Bears on the Reserve
Bartin, Turkey is a tiny town near the Black Sea. It is located in the province of Zonguldak, northern part of the country. In the early centuries, the town was under the ruling of the Ottoman Empire. The town is listed under the Norwich-based European Association of Historic Towns and Regions. Despite being close to the coast, Bartin has a humid subtropical climate. Other than winter when the town is covered in snow, you can expect the sun shining and sometimes moderate to heavy rainfall. Although every August, the locals celebrate the Sand Lily Folklore Festival and you may not want to miss that.
