Formerly known as the Roanoke Civic Center, the Berglund Center is a multi-purpose stadium situated in Roanoke, Virginia, which can hold up to 10,500 people. Built and opened in 1971, it was the area’s premier sports and entertainment venue. It was the previous residence of the basketball team and to the ice hockey teams. Today, it is home to an ice hockey team of the Southern Professional Hockey League. Berglund Center has 8,372 permanent seats, eight restrooms, and six concession stands. The center also has undergone several renovations, and a special events center has been recently added for the use of meetings, conventions, trade shows, and other special events.
