Bremen Airport, with the airport code BRE, is an international airport located 2.2 miles south of the city of Bremen, Germany. It has an ideal location that places it within minutes to the city center by train. Operated by Flughafen Bremen GmbH, it is Europe’s fastest airport in terms of departures, and recorded handling 2.66 million passengers as of the 2015 census. Established on September 21, 1921, this airport serves the city and state of Bremen, and features incoming and outgoing flights to premier leisure destinations in Europe and North Africa.

The facilities of this airport include two asphalt runways, and a helipad. Bremen Airport has one passenger terminal building divided into sections for Terminal 1, 2, and 3. Passengers to this airport can move on to other nearby German cities and municipalities such as Berne, and Ahausen.
