Brno–Tuřany Airport – BRQ Brno
Brno–Tuřany Airport (BRQ) is a public airport located in Brno, Czech Republic. In 2017, this airport served 470,000 tourists flying in and out of Brno making it Czech Republic’s second busiest airport.
Brno–Tuřany Airport was built in the 1950s to replace the old Brno Airport situated in Slatina. In the 1980s, this airport was used by the Czechoslovak Air Force, which meant that civil flights had to be reduced. However, the BRQ-Brno was returned for civil use in 1986.

BRQ is owned by the South-Moravian local government and operated by Brno Airport Ltd., which is now under Accolade. This airport consists of two concourses and a new departure area that can accommodate 1,000 tourists. The design of the terminal building is one of the biggest projects of Czech architecture.
