Hollywood Burbank Airport, formerly known as Bob Hope Airport, is a public airport serving Los Angeles including the cities of Pasadena, Glendale and the San Fernando Valley. The airport is located 3 miles northwest of downtown Burbank, California. It is a closer airport to Hollywood, Griffith Park and is the only one to have a direct rail connection to downtown Los Angeles compared to Los Angeles International Airport (LAX). The airport was first called United Airport but was later changed to Bob Hope Airport, in honor of the comedian Bob Hope, in 2003.
