The town of Burnsville belongs to the Braxton County, near the river of Little Kanawha and the Saltlick Creek. In 1976, the community was dubbed as the “All West Virginia City.” Although the Virginia Tech Montgomery Executive Airport (BCB) primarily serves Blackburg, you can still arrive at this airfield, located roughly three miles away from Burnsville, WV. Burnsville, West Virginia turns into a huge party scene in July when it hosts the annual Burnsville Freedom Festival, which was previously known as Burnsville Harvest Festival. There are various community activities held during this two-day celebration, so make sure to drop by. Thankfully, the tourist population by this time of year is the lowest, making most of Burnsville, WV hotels offer discounted rates.
What to Do & Area Attractions
Burnsville is all about museums and the outdoors. Two of the most frequently visited attractions around the city include the Museum of American Glass in West Virginia and the Mountaineer Military Museum.
