Capitol Centre
Originally built to function as a movie house, Capitol Centre has been serving the community of North Bay since 1929. It features an elaborate Spanish traditional décor, thus, making it popularly known by many as the “palace of splendor”. Its main hall, the Betty Speers Theater, has 266 seats in the balcony and 666 seats on the ground floor. Broadway shows, dance performances, comedy acts, and symphony recitals have been staged here. This long-standing facility also has a public gallery, which showcases Canadian and a few international visual artists.
