Carabao Island: A Lovely Paradise of Sand, Sea, and Sun
Carabao Island, Philippines is part of Romblon Province, located in the southernmost part. It is also known as Hambil Island, but officially, it is recognized as the Municipality of San Jose. The island’s main source of income is fishing and lately, tourism, after it became well-known to tourists when the nearby Boracay Island started to implement strict policies. The Caticlan Airport (MPH) is the nearest airport to Carabao Island, but the only way to reach it is through ferry boats.
Best Time to Visit
A lot of tourists flock to the island on summer, April, May, and June. This is also the peak season wherein most Carabao Island PH hotels and accommodations are full and the beaches busy. It may be disappointing to visit the island on the rainy season, so avoid booking coming on August, the rainiest month of the year.

The main beach of the island is known as San Jose Palm Beach. Several resorts have already been built near the shoreline. Swimming and snorkeling are the most common activities here. Tourists can also go for exhilarating activities instead. One popular spot for cliff jumping is the Cathedral Cave.
