Cordova: Of Stark Nakedness
Cordova, Philippines is a third class municipality in Cebu in the Philippines. It is a small, fisherman area is off the coast of the mainland provincial area. Best Time to Visit
The best time to visit Cordova is during the months of March and April, for the perfect weather. The busiest months are usually January, March, and September. Tourists are least likely to visit in June. One of the most exciting nearby events is Sinulog - Santo Niño Festival in Cebu City, which is held every third Sunday of January. It is well-known for its street parties. The name “Sinulog” was derived from “sulog”, a Cebuano adverb that means “like water current movement”. This describes the forward-backward movement of the main dance of the festival.
What to Do & Area Attractions
One of the most popular attractions in the municipality is Nalusuan. It is a man-made resort island that used to be a sandbar. Locally, it is known as “Kalusuan”, a Cebuano word that means “a place of penises”. It is called as such because the area has an abundance of sea cucumbers, which look like the male genitalia. Another interesting site to visit in the area is Mactan, one of the most famous tourist islands in the province.
