Danville: The Gateway to Amish Country
A village in Knox County, Danville, OH began its story in 1813 when George Sapp, Sr. and Robert Waddell laid it out. In 1923, two (2) neighboring villages, Buckeye City and Rosstown, merged into Danville. It was named after a soldier in the War of 1812, Daniel Sapp. Today, it is dubbed as, “The Gateway to Amish Country”.
