The Julius Nyerere International Airport, code DAR, is a public international airport owned by the Tanzanian Government and based in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. The airport hosts several international and domestic airlines, including Emirates, RwandAir, Qatar Airways, Precision Air, and Coastal Aviation. It caters to four cargo airlines and has three terminals, with its newly opened third terminal having two phases to serve international flights. From 2004 onwards, the Julius Nyererer International Airport began hosting a yearly passenger amount of over 1 million. By 2017, the airport accommodated almost 2.4 million passengers.
