The Golden Tulip Hospitality Group was founded in 1962 in Netherlands with 75 hotels under its belt. Its longevity has been credited to its successful business formulae: the Brand, the Operating System and the Support System. They started creating a brand that resonates their mission and vision: implementing international standards and maintaining local flavors while generating revenues and profits that aimed to expand its global presence. They have established the Operating System wherein they equipped hotels the essential tools and services guaranteeing the return of investments. In addition to this, the integration of a Support System allowed the company to aid hotels in the implementation of its quality of service and company values. These core values are carried through all hotels carrying their brand.
By 2006, the Golden Tulip Hospitality Group has 512 hotels in 48 countries worldwide. This comprises of nine brands that are owned and managed by four different entities. As it makes a steady foothold in the global hospitality industry, it culminated when it was purchased by the Groupe du Louvre in 2009. Their chain ranges from 3-star to 5-star hotels. Their constant desire to evolve while maintaining their core values became their key to success.
