Dixie Center
Dixie Center in St. George, Utah is a convention center that may also serve as a multipurpose sports arena. Founded in 1998, it has various facilities for different events. Its 11 meeting rooms can seat between 12 to 900 people each; ballroom has a maximum capacity of 1,886; and exhibit hall has a maximum capacity of 6,785. It also has an auditorium that can seat 178 people.
Fun things to do in the area include visiting Quail Creek State Park. Founded in 1986, it was established to protect the reservoir created a year prior. Activities in the park include boating, camping, fishing, and swimming. Another interesting, nearby site to visit is Jacob Hamblin House. It was named after Jacob Hamblin, a Mormon missionary and pioneer who founded the city in the mid-19th century. Designed by Miles Romney, it was included in the National Register of Historic Places in 1971. It was built for Brigham Young, the foremost pioneer in the state. One of the nearest hotels to the convention center is the Hilton Garden Inn St. George. It offers a 24-hour convenience store, fitness center, and outdoor swimming pool. Another renowned hotel in the city is Fairfield Inn St. George. Each room has a seating area and work desk. Guests may enjoy access to its heated outdoor pool.
