About Holiday Club By Mahindra Holidays & Resorts Domashnyaya Varaka
Holiday Club was born in 1986. At that time, its primary focus was the vacation ownership business. The Holiday Club was born in Finland and actively operates in Europe only but it is owned by the Indian travel company, Mahindra Holidays & Resorts India Ltd. It was in 2014 that the Indian company decided to buy and 18.8 percent share in the European brand. However, in 2017, Mahindra decided to increase their stakes to 91.94%. The Holiday Club Resorts now has 33 resorts - 25 in Finland, 2 in Sweden, and 6 in Spain. In total, the brand operates 1145 hotel rooms and 1994 holiday homes.
In 2017, the brand also started timeshare sales to construct villa apartments with Vierumaki Country Club, which was a much-awaited collaboration. The same year also marked the recognition for one of its branches, Holiday Club Katinkula in Northern Finland for having the third largest solar power in the region. That year when Mahindra increased their shares definitely paved the way for more projects and awards. The company was also awarded the Prestigious Rotisseurs plaque in 2017, specifically for their Le Biff restaurant at Holiday Club Saimaa. The next year, it was deemed “The Strongest in Finland” by asiakastieto.fi.
