The Durban International Convention Centre is the main facility of the Inkosi Albert Luthuli International Convention Centre, which is situated in the heart of Durban, KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa. The multifaceted venue has every space, legroom, elbow room — everything! — that a client needs in order to hold a successful event, may it be a business forum, a conference, or a concert. And because of its technology-driven, world-class service, it garnered accolades that it rightfully deserve: Africa's Leading Meetings and Conference Centre: (2001-2006, 2008-2014) and World's Top 15 Congress Centres (2014 and 2015). The facility was also voted as Africa's Leading Meetings and Conference Centre for the 17th year by the World Travel Awards.
The Durban International Convention Centre is only 30 minutes from King Shaka International Airport. The Berea, which was once brimming with lush greenery, is the nearby city in the facility. It is now filled with offices and apartment complexes, most of which were once Durban’s oldest mansions. Currently, it’s the third most expensive real estate area next to Durban North and Umhlanga. Travelers tend to check in hotels within the Berea, such as in St. Annes Guest House, which is a perfect spot for relaxation after a long day of work-related activities or leisure. Coastlands Musgrave Hotel is also a splendid pick, given that it’s only 17 minutes away from King Shaka International Airport. While in the city, don’t forget to take a dip or at least take a stroll along Addington Beach, or learn a thing or two about the vibrant culture of the continent through the collections of the African Art Centre.
