The Europa Center is located on the Breitscheidplatz in Berlin, Germany. It is a building complex with a shopping mall and a high-rise tower. It is categorized as a historically preserved building. Construction on the center started in 1963 and was completed in 1965. The site that the Europa Center now stands on was once the location of a residential building. It was also the home of the Romanisches Haus, which served as a popular meetup point for writers and artists. The high-rise building of the Europa Center is topped off by the logo of the car manufacturer, Mercedes-Benz. The symbol weighs 15,000 kilograms and has a 10-meter diameter. It does revolutions, completing approximately two every minute, and it is lit at night. The Europa Center also features a water clock named ‘The Clock of Flowing Time.’
