The buildings at Michigan Avenue (Carbide and Carbon) were completed in the year 1929, spearheaded by the Burnham Brothers. They are the sons of an architect originated from Chicago which was very famous and influential at that time – Daniel Burnham. The architectural design resembles a green, vintage champagne bottle. It then became a Chicago landmark, when it added an art-deco illustration on its buildings.
