Fyrkat Viking Centre, Hobro, Denmark
Fyrkat Viking Centre was a 980-AD old Viking ring castle in the city of Hobro, Denmark. The fortress was built on a land that is narrow, a swampy area nearby and a stream on the other side of it. During the year 1950 until 1958, an excavation happened in this area. The artifacts that were gained from these excavations have been sent to the city museum for people to view at. It was during the year 1993 when this center was build that resembles a Viking farm, with a museum shop and exhibition buildings.
As mentioned, excavations have turned out to be successful and those that were gained from that were displayed on the Hobro Museum that also houses the memoirs of the cities history from its roots up until how we know it today.
