Gallo Center for the Arts
Gallo Center for the Arts in downtown Modesto is a state-of-the-art performing arts space that stands with a mission of improving the quality of life in the San Joaquin Valley through offering a communal venue where cultural activities can entertain and educate at the same time. The center has two performance venues: the Foster Family Theater with 440 seats and the Mary Stuart Rogers Theater with 1248 seats. Opened in September 2007, the venue has hosted more than 7,000 events already. It has been visited and utilized by numerous stars and significant figures since it started functioning.
Gallo Center for the Arts is a prime destination for arts, entertainment, social/educational activities, multicultural programming in the central valley. Just northwest from the facility is Boomers, which is a top attraction in Modesto as it is the go-to place for go-karts, mini-golf, rock wall climbing, and other thrilling activities. McHenry Museum and Mansion is another major attraction in the city as it is a historic residence that will take visitors back into the 19th century. The Patterson Westley Historical Society Museum in Patterson and Oakdale Cowboy Museum in Oakdale are the other interesting museums to visit.
