Gerlos: Ski All Day and Party All Night
It will take a long winding in the Gerlostal Valley in order to reach Gerlos, Austria. Geographically, it is located in the east border between Tirol and the province of Salzburg. Centuries ago, there is a mule track that connected Wald im Pinzgau and Zell am Ziller. This passes through the Gerlospass mountains. There was also a bigger trail that transported gold with the help of horses. Because of forces of nature it was swept away. However, it was rebuilt again to accommodate huge vehicles so travelers can cross without a problem from one province to the next. Aside from the ski area, Gerlos is also known for its nightlife.

The best time to visit Gerlos is from April to May and September to October. Winter season is also considered the peak season for the town. Gerlos, Austria hotels are fully booked especially the ones near the ski areas. There are top events held in the city. The most notable ones are Wimmertal-Almfest and Festival at the Krummbachrast.

Ski resorts are the main bloodline of Gerlos. It turns into a winter wonderland especially during the months of December to February. The most popular areas are 150er Tux Ski Lift and Arzberg Ski Lift. Tourists can also ride the Finkenberger Alm I Cable Car. There are quite a number of accommodations found in town. The most notable ones are Hotel Alpenherz and Appartments Am Bach. Another accommodation is Hotel Kristall, which is for adults only.
