Situated 14 miles southwest section of Lancaster, Great Falls is a small town with several historic places that are listed in the US National Register of Historic Places. Founded by J.B. Duke, the town used to have hydro electrical plants and cotton mills that are strategic in increasing its residents as people come to seek employment or build business establishments. The town of Great Falls, SC has slowly increased its tourism activities particularly during summer or school holiday months, July and August.
