Tripvillas was founded by Roshan D’Silva in late 2009. He got the idea from Craigslist, a seasoned classified advertisement site that offers home rentals, jobs, services, gigs, resumes and community service. However, Tripvillas focus is mainly on home rentals. D’Silva created a website where home owners can rent out their private homes. All they need to do is to create a profile about their property and respond to those who are interested to stay at their homes. It is a good and cheaper alternative to staying at hotels.
Tripvillas’ website is fairly easy to use. They have pictures of each properties that are all very welcoming and homey. Searching for a place to stay is also hassle free. They also have an application you can download for easier booking and transactions. It is both available for Android and Apple users.
The headquarters of Tripvillas is in Singapore and has ventured to other businesses as well. On top of their rental business they now also offer Vacation Community Management Business, Software business, Property Management and Exchange Program. Even with the growth of their business, the company is well aware of their social responsibility, thus they ensure that they still protect the culture, local art, wildlife and tribes.
