Borg El Arab Airport - HBE Egypt
Borg El Arab Airport is a public airport owned and operated by the Egyptian Airports company and based a few miles from Alexandria, Egypt. It has an airport code of HBE and caters to the people of Alexandria as well as certain areas of the Nile. Borg El Arab Airport has two asphalt runways, each measuring 0.64 miles. Since 2011, it has been Alexandria’s primary commercial airport.
Best Time to Visit
In 2010, Borg El Arab’s newly-furnished facilities were officially inaugurated, after increasing demand from the public for a terminal that could accommodate larger amounts of passengers. Its boat-shaped passenger terminal has four floors, with each floor reserved for a designated part of the commercial flight process. The historic town of El Alamein is an hour away from Borg El Arab Airport, while El-Agamy and Sidi Krir are within 30 minutes away.
