Phuket International Airport is a public international airport located north of Phuket Island, Phuket, Thailand. The airport, with HKT airport code, has an important role in the growing tourism industry of Thailand, for Phuket Island is a known tourist destination and the airport is the main transportation to the island. In terms of passengers, Phuket International Airport is the third busiest airport in Thailand next to Suvamabhumi Airport and Don Mueang International Airport.
