I Wireless Center
The iWireless Center, now known as the TaxSlayer Center, is a multi-purpose arena based in the town of Moline, Illinois. It has a capacity of 12,000 and hosts several various events, such as concerts, theater and amphitheater plays, and sports competitions. Opened to the public in 1993, the iWireless Center was launched as The MARK of the Quad Cities before having been renamed in October 2017. It was designed by Ellerbe Becket, an architectural firm based in Minnesota, and has been awarded a handful of architectural industry awards over the years.
Another popular landmark within Moline is the John Deere Pavilion. It was an urban renewal project that opened back in 1997 but has been named the official visitor center of the John Deere headquarters situated several blocks away. For outdoor enthusiasts visiting Rock Island, make sure to visit the 208-acre Black Hawk State Historic Site. The park is a perfect example of the diverse natural beauty of the Quad Cities. Take a trip down one of the hiking trails as you explore the cultural history and heritage of the area.
For a convenient stay, check out the Stoney Creek Hotel & Conference Center Quad Cities and Radisson On John Deere Commons-Moline. Both offer a free continental breakfast and airport shuttle. They are also within walking distance from the iWireless Center and provide a stunning view of the riverfront. Guests staying at either hotel can also enjoy an indoor pool within the property, along with a gym and a 24-hour business center.
