International Antarctic Centre
The International Antarctic Centre is a visitor and conference center located in the Harewood suburb, Christchurch, New Zealand. The center is very notable because it stands close to the Christchurch International Airport. The International Antarctic Centre consists of Antarctic exhibits and cafes, and home to New Zealand, United States and Italian Antarctic Programmes making it one of the major tourist attractions in the country. In September 2009, the center was announced as the Champion Host Winner for medium and large enterprise categories by the prestigious Canterbury Champion Awards Dinner. In October 2015, the center was bought by a tourism company called Real Journeys from Christchurch Airport.
