About Wyndham Hotels Inzell
Wyndham Hotels (Wyndham Hotels and Resorts) has 20 brands split into 5 categories: upscale, lifestyle, midscale, economy, and extended stay. Founded in 1981 in Dallas, Texas, this giant hotel chain has grown rapidly in the late 1990s acquiring multiple hotel portfolios and renaming them Wyndham. In its effort to enter the upscale hotel market and build its own limited-upscale brand, it decided to purchase Summerfield Hotel Corporation, and later on called it Summerfield Suites by Wyndham.
Currently, Wyndham Hotels has more than 9,000 hotels in 80 countries all across the world. From beachfront hotels to highways, big cities and small towns, there is a Wyndham Hotel for each customer’s preference.
The award-winning hotel group has a service-oriented mindset; its beliefs and values stem from its desire to open the world to travel. It aims to deliver the most memorable experiences at every destination. Some of its recent recognitions are: ranked among the Best Employers for Diversity by Forbes (2019); ranked among the Best Employers for Diversity by Forbes (2019), and ranked in the Wall Street Journal's Management Top 250 (2018)
The company was said to be named after a woman named Wyndham Robertson, who was the friend of Trammell Crow (founder of Wyndham Hotels), after she wrote a profile of him for Fortune. In 2018, the company officially changed its name into Wyndham Destinations.
