Imperial County Airport – IPL El Centro
Situated south of the central district of Imperial, California, Imperial County Airportis an airport that serves nearby places like El Centro. Although it is mainly used for general aviation, the airport has a scheduled passenger service operated by only one airline. The first airline to have scheduled passenger service in the airport dating back in the late 1940s was Western Airlines, followed by Bonanza Air Lines in 1950. In 2011-2015, the National Plan of Integrated Airport Systems categorized Imperial County Airport as a non-primary commercial service airport.
