Best Time to Visit
Previously, JHW-Jamestown was classified as a non-primary commercial service airport and was subsidized by the Essential Air Service (EAS) until the funds were terminated in 2018 due to an insufficient number of passengers. Following the suspension of funds, Southern Airways Express, the only airline operating at JHW Airport, canceled its service. This situation, left JHW without any permanent airlines. Boutique Air, on the other hand, wanted to bring back its operations but insisted on having an EAS funding. However, the Federal Aviation Administration did not approve the restoration of the funding.
