About Dusit Thani Hotels Khok Kloi
DusitThani is an international hotel chain that was born in Thailand, courtesy of ThanpuyingChanutPiyaoui in 1948. The name was inspired by the miniature city created by King Vajiravudh (Rama VI) of Siam at that time in the Dusit Palace. It dates all the way back to 1910s-1920s. This project inspected different facets of democracy with citizens owning property in the model city. It was like the king’s dollhouse which is now regarded by many as the first trial of constitutional governance in Thailand. Now, the hotel chain certainly ascended that mini city into bigger dollhouses spread across the globe. Managed by the DusitThani Public Company Limited, Dusit International has 29 hotels and resorts in 18 countries.
Given its humble beginnings, starting with 30 rooms in their first hotel, Princess, the company’s progress definitely skyrocketed. Inn 1970, the company fully went for that transcendence they continue to go through to this day. They built their 23-storey DusitThani Bangkok hotel which became the company’s first flagship hotel. From 30 rooms in the Princess, this one was a huge upgrade with 510 luxury rooms that made the building one of the tallest in Bangkok for several years. The brand’s operations in the international scene reflect that flagship’s character, and that consistency has made the hotel A status symbol both in its home country and in the Philippines.
