Midtjyllands Airport – KRP
Karup Airport, now known as Midtjyllands Airport, serves the city of Karup, Denmark. The airport is situated at a former military airfield during the occupation of the Germans. It was in the year 1965 when Midtjyllands Airport, with the code KRP, officially opened its doors to the public but only after three years did the authorities built the passenger terminal. The Royal Danish Air Force made the airport its home.
Best Time to Visit
A medium-sized airport with one passenger terminal and four runways make up KRP. Last 2010, it was estimated that around 350,000 passengers have flown in and out of the airport. Danish Air Transport and Flexflight Airlines service flights solely to and from Copenhagen, Denmark every day. the cities of Egga, Belle and Ans can be visited when you land at the KRP.
