The Laoag International Airport is a public airport located in Laoag, Philippines. It is located in the capital city of the province, and is the northernmost international airport of the country. The airport has an airport code of LAO, and it welcomes tourists who wish to see the city’s historic attractions. The Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines operates the airport, and it has welcomed more than 160,000 tourists and 1,224 aircraft movements in the year 2017. It was first used in 1941 before World War 11. It was only converted into a public airport after the war.
